Another packed DeltaTalk Radio broadcast on Thursday, June 9, including a final follow-up/send-off of the 2011 Elvis Festival, and interviews with three Mississippians who are making positive change the biggest constant of their worlds.

We start with Sherri Stevens, president of Stevens Resource Group (SRG), a Canadian firm that specializes in workforce development for the automotive industry. Stevens has recently moved SRG's corporate headquarters to Tupelo. There, she's constructed a virtual skill center where newcomers can build familiarity with the Toyota Production System (TPS) and thus gain confidence before SRG places them into her client companies.

Next we talk to Rex Harsin, silent filmmaker (yes, Virginia…I said SILENT FILM, that form of storytelling is still very much alive and well). Rex was live in the studio to talk about the silent film he’s produced and is taking to Italy later this year.

And all the way from Greenville, Mississippi, 180 miles southwest of Tupelo, but still very much a part of our incredible state -- Megan Hines, an enterprising young lady at the Greenville Arts Council – joins us to talk about her ingenious use of SOCIAL MEDIA to raise money to buy $50,000 worth of musical instruments for her part of the state. A musical “collective” she calls it. She’s a go-getter, you’re gonna love her. Trust me on this…

Enjoy the show and make sure to follow DeltaTalk on Facebook and Twitter (@DeltaTalk). As always, you can reach me at Mike@DeltaTalkRadio.com. You can also call our message line at 662-205-NEMS (6367) to record feedback we might use on the air!

Thanks for listening -- and for helping to make positive-media programming possible on the SuperTalk Mississippi Radio Network. DeltaTalk, a one-hour show, airs Thursday mornings at 9am on SuperTalk 102.FM in Tupelo.
